The Dental Mission Project Society

The Dental Mission Project Society

The Dental Mission Project Society (TDMP) was formed to support marginalized and developing communities both locally and internationally in need of oral health care, prevention and education. UBC Dentistry is pleased to partner with the Dental Mission Project in support of a joint mandate of oral health education, research and community outreach. This partnership also provides the opportunity to engage UBC dental students and alumni to enhance their clinical skills as well as better understanding of their own sense of social responsibility as oral health care professionals.

With all donations collected, 5% of each gift will be allocated to the UBC Dentistry Carlos Carrillo Endowment Fund which supports an annual student award recognizing an outstanding student who demonstrates leadership, interest and passion in community oral health care outreach both locally and internationally. Dr. Carrillo was a tremendous advocate for donating his time and talent in providing oral health care worldwide. Should there be a surplus in donations for a specific outreach initiative, the funds will be allocated to support future outreach programs.
