The Manager, Alumni Career Education leads the development and execution of a multi-year strategy and plan to address the career development needs of UBC’s 330,000 alumni. Ongoing professional development has been identified as part of the value proposition for UBC’s large and diverse alumni body. As such, the Manager, Alumni Career Education will develop and conduct formal and informal needs assessments for career education and develop corresponding programming to address these needs. The incumbent will regularly evaluate the efficacy, relevance and overall success of offerings and make course corrections as necessary. The Manager, Alumni Career Education will design and deliver programs and services to support alumni learning and to promote alumni engagement in career development activities as part of the alumni UBC Engagement Framework. The incumbent will seek out strategic relationships with outside contractors to develop and deliver content as needed, including negotiating contracts. The Manager, Alumni Career Education develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Alumni Engagement Managers in each faculty, the Alumni Engagement office in the Okanagan and Hong Kong as well as other UBC career offices.
