The Business Analyst role represents the DAE IT team and supports the DAE Portfolio by assessing business needs in an effort to align key initiatives with information technology solutions and managing complex projects to implement business-process improvements, custom solutions, custom integrations and/or system upgrades. The role will liaise with key stakeholders across the portfolio to carry out a variety of analysis tasks, including: business process review, gap analysis, and overall process-requirements. The incumbent will work to align business drivers with technology solutions, recommend process improvements, and define how recommended solutions fulfill business needs. The position will also play a key role in managing and delivering a variety of projects across DAE and UBC technical systems, identifying project milestones, tracking progress, identifying risks and issues, reporting to key stakeholders, training staff and resources on usage of new or significantly changed system functionality, and communicating across involved business partners.
